Although
African Flying Safaris focuses primarily on providing self pilot
safaris throughout Southern Africa, we are well equipped to get
any interested adventurer on their way to a wonderfully rewarding
African vacation.
If you are not a pilot, you can accompany one of our tours anyway.
We often had room available in our guide aircraft. By joining a
self pilot safari tour, you will enjoy the benefit of avoiding scheduled
transfers that may cost you days making connections. You'll enjoy
all the flying our pilots enjoy and fly with a commercial rated
pilot in the lead airplane.
Some other examples of things to do in Africa outside of a self
pilot safari:
Take in the sights sounds and experiences offered throughout South
Africa. Cape Town is a positively stunning city and coastal area
along South Africa’s South West Coast line. A few days in
Cape Town will provide you the opportunity to experience culture,
history, and sightseeing of one of the most beautiful places in
the world. After a few days in Cape Town, venture into the garden
Route area and explore the wine country. The Wine Country boasts
some extraordinary accommodation options. Take a trip via a vintage
railway aboard either the Blue Train or Rovos Rail. Both offer excellent
value and a very enchanting means by which to cover the terrain
between various points in South Africa.
Southern Africa boasts some of the most beautiful coast line in
the world, complete with ability to sail, snorkel along beautiful
reefs, scuba dive, whale watch, deep sea fish and most any other
water or coastal activity you may desire.
Maybe you would like a vacation in Africa that incorporates a
little culture along with the wilds of the bush. We can help with
such desire as well.
A
safari vacation can also incorporate some very skilled activities.
You could choose to participate in your particular interest while
on safari – such interest could include birding, photography,
zoology, or tracking. In addition we can organize a safaris whereby
you would be part of a team to participate in Rhino darting or leopard
observation, not to mention experiencing wild elephants up close
and personal on our walking with elephants excursion and more. Whatever
your imagination can create with regard to experiencing Africa,
African Flying Safaris can help you turn imagination into reality.
There are many, many, many safari companies throughout Africa.
You can go on line and find any given number of companies, offering
any given number of safari options. As an experienced safari traveler,
as well as someone with a generous amount of experience throughout
Southern and East Africa, I highly recommend you work with someone
you can contact easily, get to know their company and their experience,
and listen closely to their recommendations and reasons they would
make certain suggestions for things to do and places to see. Africa
is very remote and one is most encouraged to work closely with their
travel planner to ensure their dream vacation will be one they will
remember and share the experience of for many years to come. My
personal experience suggests that when on safari, it is absolutely
critical that you stay in camps and lodges that offer highly trained
and skilled rangers and guides. A bad ranger or guide can ruin your
safari. For this reason, African Flying Safaris works exclusively with CC Africa, the largest lodge owner and management company in Africa. Quality accommodations, exceptionally trained rangers and accommodating staff ensure your safari experience will be safe, fun, and full of wonderful memories.
